Here are some of my favourite projects I've worked on

DH2020 Conference

I was contracted by the University of Ottawa to help brand, plan, and execute ADHO's annual Digital Humanities conference. DH2020 was to be jointly hosted by the University of Ottawa and Carleton University and expected 650+ attendees from all over the world. Unfortunately, the in-person conference was cancelled in May 2020, after almost two years of hard work by the local organizing committee.

Here are some of the highlights that I got to work on before the unfortunate cancellation of the conference.

The book of abstracts was an integral part of bringing together all of the research topics presented by conference attendees. I congregated the submissions from ConfTool into both a digital and physical version.

I worked on the branding of the overall conference, producing the colour palette and logo. After a few rounds of logo ideation, we decided on the logo to the left as it represented the theme of the conference, intersections, and simultaneously represents the waterways of the Ottawa River.

I worked on:

  • Developing the website.
  • Integrating the e-commerce system and registration system.
  • Logistics planning (rooms, keynote speakers, hotel blocks, etc).

Invest Ottawa

I was contracted Invest Ottawa as a Digital Marketing Specialist to help build out their Digital Main Street Future Proof Program. My role focused on spreading the word about this program that was initiated by the government to help out small businesses that were impacted by Covid-19.
